 Impressions India

Photography Exhibition
Darda Art Gallery, India (December 2014)

Impressions India was Ameya's first exhibition, born out of his concern at the apathy of the people of Kashmir, post the devastating floods in 2014. Ameya had visited Srinagar in the summer of 2014 and upon his return to England, read a few weeks later about the floods. Many sites that Ameya had visited were completed submerged under water.

The pictures taken during that trip formed the basis of the exhibition in December 2014. All funds raised were donated to India's Prime Minister Emergency Relief Fund. Ameya received very kind and supportive acknowledgement for his efforts from India's Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi and from Maharashtra state's Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis.
