In December 2017, Ameya launched his latest project - a book of photographs of animals he has encountered during his travels in Africa, Asia and Europe - to raise funds for The SmileTrain, a UK-based charity dedicated to helping children with born with a cleft palate rediscover their smiles. The highlight of the event was the inauguration and book launch by Padma Shri Deepa Malik, a Smile Train Ambassador and one of India's finest athletes and role models.
